Jack Cawthon’s Bar-B-Que is proud to announce that its Famous Jack’s Texas Sweet Hot Sauce came in First Place in “The Best Sauce on the Planet” at the American Royal World Series of Barbecue. The event was held in Kansas City, Missouri in October. This is quite an honor for Jack Cawthon’s Bar-B-Que INC. and Nashville, given 365 sauces where entered from 37 states in the US and 2 Canadian provinces. Jack was extremely proud of this win, being winner over all sauces. There are 6 different sauces available at his restaurants and online.

It’s interesting to note that Jack Cawthon’s Bar-B-Que INC. won best sauce on the planet for it’s Kansas City Style Sauce at the American Royal Barbecue contest in 2004. This gives us 2 of our 6 sauces the title “The Best Sauce on the Planet”.

The American Royal Barbecue considered “The World Series for BBQ” started in 1980 where Psychiatrist Rich Davis won first place for his sauce and gave up his medical practice to start marketing his famous KC Masterpiece. Some say this is what put Kansas City and the American Royal on the map for BBQ and Sauce.

Jack’s is celebrating its 38th anniversary in Nashville, Tennessee, a city known for its music. Jack Cawthon’s Bar-B-Que is building a reputation in barbeque and fine sauces, rivaling cities that have been historically been more popular in this venue. Jack has 3 locations in Nashville at 334 West Trinity Lane, 1601 Charlotte Avenue and 416 Broadway.

The American Royal Barbecue is located in Kansas City at the 20-acre Historic Stockyard District, Where over 500 cooking teams and 400 sauce entrants competed for top prizes.
